After so many leaks and rumours, about the OnePlus – the OnePlus 6 was finally unveiled in London on May 16. The smartphone industry but it seems like an old player given its growing popularity in the market. Just few hours ago, OnePlus raised the curtains over its new flagship smartphone OnePlus 6. The all-new OnePlus 6 is technically the company's eighth smartphone and aims to challenge some of the big names in the premium smartphone segment.With all the hype OnePlus has generated over the past few weeks, it surely seems a lot of burden on OnePlus 6’s shoulders. You will have to wait for our review to find out if the smartphone offers a worthy package or not, till then here are our first impressions of the OnePlus 6 smartphone.

To get the basics first, OnePlus 6 got launched globally at an event in London on May 16 and will be launched in the Indian market at an event in Mumbai scheduled for 3 pm today. The smartphone comes in three colour options -- Mirror Black, Midnight Black and Silk White. Alongside with these, there's also a special Marvel Avengers Limited Edition. We have been using the Mirror Blackvariant of the device.

OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei took the stage to launch the company’s latest flagship. The new OnePlus 6 has been revealed with an all-glass body and a notched 6.3-inch 19.9-inch OLED display. The OnePlus 6 is presently the most powerful beast amongst smartphones that is powered by a Snapdragon 845 along with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB storage running on an almost-stock custom Android operating system OxygenOS 5.1 that is built on Android Oreo 8.1. The company also allows users to install the upcoming Android P in beta.

On the camera front, the OnePlus 6 sports 16+20MP dual rear cameras with OIS+EIS support and can record videos up to 4K@60fps. The front camera is a 16MP that now allows portrait mode, which will be enabled in a future update.

The OnePlus 6 is built with a complete glass body and sports a dual camera along with a fingerprint sensor on the rear, while the front sports a 6.28-inch Optic AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2280 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19:9. The 3.5mm headphone jack stays and the alert slider takes a new position on the right side. The OnePlus 6 is the first flagship from the company to feature daily water resistance.
